High-pressure casting

High-pressure casting or injection moulding involves pouring molten metal into a metal mould under high pressure. The casting process is fully automatic, offering consistent product quality and high production speed. High-pressure casting is only advantageous for large series production.

High-pressure casting method

The injection moulding machine consists of two plates to which the mould halves are attached. One fixed part and one moving part that are pressed together during casting. When the metal cools, the mould opens and the casting is removed. The result of this fully mechanical casting process is highly dimensional precision, making it suitable for intricate and thin-walled castings.
