Sand casting method
With the sand casting technique, castings are produced by pouring liquid metal into a full-sized sand mould cavity. After cooling, the sand is removed, leaving the cast. Sand is characterised by high heat resistance, making it extremely suitable for materials with high melting temperatures.
RG Castings Group offers the following options
- Manual (single box)
- Semi-automatic (all sizes from A4 to 2 × 2 metres)
- Automatic sand casting (volume production)
Possible alloys
- Both aluminium casting and copper casting are possible. Here you can view all our possible casting alloys.
